Events

Each call to Hitprobe's API results in an event being logged. The events section of the console allows you to review events, search for them, and see the detail behind them.

Reviewing events

When an event's outcome is allow_review, block_review, or just review, the event will remain in the review queue until it's marked as reviewed.

You can see a list of events needing review on the homepage. You'll also receive an email alert when a reviewable event is received.

To mark an event as reviewed, click the Mark reviewed button on the event detail page.

Allowlist email or IP

Click Allowlist email or Allowlist IP to quickly add the email address or IP to the site's allowlist. This is especially useful when reviewing events in a support capacity, when a genuine user is having trouble accessing your app.

note

You can't remove from the allowlist on the event detail page, but you can do that in the Sites > Allowlist if needed.

Understanding rule matches for an event

On the event detail page, click the Rule matches button to see a list of rules that the event matched.

In addition, properties involved in matching rules are highlighted in either green (allow), red (block), or orange (review) so you can quickly scan the event for properties that may need your attention. Hover over these properties to see the name of the rule(s) that matched.

Filtering by associated entities

You can click the Filter button next to any device ID, normalized email address, IP/network address, phone number, or postal code to filter the events list by that entity.

This allows you to review associated events to check if they're likely to be the same person or not.
