Google accounts
Once a Google account is connected, it can be managed under Account > Google accounts. From here, you can see the status of all your connections, and disconnect if needed.
To connect or reconnect a site to Google Ads, follow the steps at Manage site > Ad networks > Google Ads. This will connect the Google account (if needed), select the customer, and associate it with your site.
Account hierarchy
Google accounts are organised into this hierarchy:
- Accounts (top-level) - A main Google account that holds regular Google Ads customers and/or Google Ads MCC (My Client Center) customers. Identified by the account's login email address.
- Managers - Sub-accounts that are only intended to manage other customers. Also called MCC or My Client Center accounts. Identified by a name and ID. See Google's article about manager accounts.
- Customers - Regular Google customer accounts that run ads. Identified by a name and ID.
When you choose to connect a site to Google, Hitprobe shows a list of previously connected accounts or managers. This speeds up the process of adding further customers from existing top-level or manager accounts. You can delete them at Account > Google accounts if you no longer need them.
Connection problems
If Hitprobe has trouble accessing a Google account or authorization is revoked, the Hitprobe account owner will receive an email notification and should follow the steps to fix the problem.
