Meta accounts
Once a Meta account is connected, it can be managed under Account > Meta accounts. From here, you can see the status of all your connections, and disconnect if needed.
To connect or reconnect a site to Meta Ads, follow the steps at Manage site > Ad networks > Meta. This will connect the Meta account (if needed), select the customer, and associate it with your site.
Account hierarchy
Meta accounts are organised into this hierarchy:
- Accounts (top-level) - A main Meta (Facebook) login that can access one or more Meta Ads customer accounts (ad accounts). Identified by the login email address.
- Customers - Meta customer accounts (ad accounts) that run ads. Identified by a name and ID.
When you choose to connect a site to Meta, Hitprobe shows a list of previously connected accounts. This speeds up the process of adding further customers from existing accounts. You can delete them at Account > Meta accounts if you no longer need them.
Connection problems
If Hitprobe has trouble accessing a Meta account or authorization is revoked, the Hitprobe account owner will receive an email notification and should follow the steps to fix the problem.
