Saved views & actions
Saved views are a quick way to access frequently used analytics or sessions views. They can also be used to control exclusions and other actions that apply to sessions.
Default views
Every site added to Hitprobe has a set of default (or 'Created by Hitprobe') saved views. You can recognise these by the lock icon in the All views list.
The default views are:
- Google & bad network: Google paid clicks that have the 'High network frequency' risk. This means too many paid clicks are coming from this network.
- Google & bad referrer: Google paid clicks that have the 'Poor referrer reputation' risk. This identifies paid clicks from a poor quality Google partner site.
- Paid & invalid: Paid clicks that have an 'Invalid' risk level.
- Paid & suspicious: Paid clicks that have a 'Suspicious' risk level.
- Paid & unwanted: Paid clicks that have an 'Unwanted' risk level.
You can read more about what these risks and risk levels mean.
By default, sessions matching these views have appropriate exclusion actions enabled (as it's expected you'll want to exclude these visitors from your advertising campaigns).
You can change these settings if you'd prefer to switch off or amend the exclusions.
These views can't be deleted or the filters changed, but you can rename, unpin, or make changes to the actions.
Open one of these views and click Save as new to make a copy of the view. You'll be able to update the filters of the new view if you want to create customized approaches for how you want to exclude traffic.
Saving a view
In either analytics or sessions, click the Save view button at the top right to save the current date period and selected filters as a 'view'.
Once saved, the view can be accessed from the main menu bar, either by clicking directly on the name of the view (if it was pinned to the menu), or clicking All views to see a full list of views.
Saved views can either be:
- Private, where only the user saving the view has access to it.
- Shared, where everyone in the account shares the view. Shared views are owned and controlled by all users, so any user can access, update, rename, or delete the view.
Actions
As well as being a quick way to access filtered analytics and sessions, saved views are where you can choose the actions that will happen when a new session matches your filters.
The date period is ignored when considering if a new session matches a saved view or not. I.e. If a shared view is set with a date period of last month, new sessions will still be matched against it.
New sessions are matched against saved views as early as possible, depending on the filters and when datapoints are known and fully settled.
Add visitor to your exclusion audiences
This action is only available for shared saved views.
Visitors will be added to exclusion audiences for connected ad networks with audience exclusion configured. Also fires the onBlock tag callback and the hitprobe_blocked data layer event.
It's important to understand that the visitor must still be on the site for the audience exclusion to actually be delivered. If an audience exclusion can't be delivered but the visitor later returns, it will be delivered then.
Add visitor's IP to Google Ads exclusions
This action is only available for shared saved views.
Adds the visitor's IP address to Google's IP exclusion list at account level. You can manage these exclusions in the Hitprobe console.
Add visitor's network to Google Ads exclusions

Add referrer domain to Google Ads exclusions
This action is only available for shared saved views.
Adds the referrer domain name to Google's placement exclusion list at account level. You can manage these exclusions in the Hitprobe console.
